Clairvoyance, a poem on mystery and unspoken imaginations of the future
CLAIRVOYANCE
Alluring, sounds the screech of the vulture to my ears
As it elongate with the heavy thumps of the wild cat on the hapless earth
Awakening the earthlings who harbours in the nest of the forest
As the quirky tune ran into my tired ears
And therein my eyes sights the mystery hidden from the doubting eyes of men
The snake walks with the head and the bear sings and plays guitar
While the chimpanzee does ballet with his feet kissing the earth
The lion feeds on grass and the mouse rule like the king of the jungle
While the cubs tutor their fathers like they once lived a century before
Strange?
Here the time walks and register the motion of every creeping
And death holds his sickle to steal from the summer reaps
The fire sways with the water like lovers in a ball
And the sun runs with the moon with hairs of stars on an unending race
Strange?
The summer, winter, harmattan work in collision with one another
And the sand rises above the sea while the fishes swim in the latter
All fours walks on two while two walk on four
Strange! More, dozens more
Maybe I'm lost, probably dead. Is this hell?
Maybe I'm in a trance hoping to dine with Socrates
Or in the forms world called by the witty voice of Plato
Maybe I'm in heaven with no god or angels
No vines, Adam or Abraham to call a father
Maybe this was how its supposed to be, the unbiased reality
Maybe Parmenides and Plato really foresaw the world beyond
Maybe I'm just dwelling within the stormy ocean of my imagination
Maybe I'm just lost again like I've always been
Maybe!
