Ghost Tale, a poem that criticizes and condems rape in the society and the pain its victims pass through
GHOST TALE
I'm a victim
He told me it was only a candy
which breathes and nods like a unicorn
With a little white cream inside for whosoever
Is ready to kiss it
I'm a victim
He told its the step to womanhood
A-must passage through the locked doors
And the door will open to many pleasures
Or have I want no pleasure?
I'm a victim
"It's me, my baby girl
Don't cry, it never pains
My girl, just a thrust, only once
And the pink unicorn toy in the store will be yours
You know daddy never fails his promises"
He trusted, grunted, sweated and came freely
But the toy never came, only pains... Like other nights.
I'm a victim
"Tell mummy not, shhh! Hold close those little lips
They're for my lips, and much more downward.
Shut 'em up, for the bogeyman with a kings is at your door
When the lips try to open to Mommy's ears
Shhh! The bogeyman hears all"
I'm a victim
Clean those tears, they disgust me
I'm your brother, and I know what's best.
Clean yourself up and tell no more and no one
Of the pleasure of tonight
I'm a victim
"Shhh! Draw your shorts down for it's a work of math
The stick underneath I'll help you beg
Watch as it talks inside my mouth
And as I bounce on it to correct it's shape
For 1+1, the answer you shall never tell.
For what can your aunt not do for you?"
I'm a victim
Chocolate? No? What about strawberry?
Open the door an take it in my room
And speak not to anyone of what amount you see.
I'm your good neighbour, am I not?
Tell not of the tied arms and legs
Of the closed lips, the bruises on your skin
Or the bleeding bottom. Chocolate or Strawberry?
I'm a victim
I was killed before I lived
Buried before I took the breath.
I'm a victim, but tell not of my story
For it's a GHOST-TALE!
Say NO to Rape
