SpringNg Announces The SpringNg Women Author Prize Semi-finalists Shortlist

SpringNg announces the names of the semi-finalists for it's inaugural SprinNG Women Authors Prize. The names of the writers who made it to the semi-finalists longlist are Cheluchi Onyemelukwe-Onuobia’s "The Son of the House", Azizah Idris M’s "A Sackful of Wishes", and Olaoluwa Oni’s "The YNBA".

The author Prize is held annually.

Initially, the prize for the winner of the contest was N100,000 but, recently, it announced that the cash prize has been increased to N,200,000 as a result of the sponsor's generousity. The prize entails the investment of ₦200,000 in the purchasing, distributing, and marketing of the winning book.

The semi-finalists were selected by a judging panel comprised of Hauwa Shaffii Nuhu, Eketi Edima Ette, I.S Jones, and Mona Zutshi Opubor.

The winner of the first SprinNG Women Authors Prize will be announced on January 15, 2020. According to them, anyone is welcomed to join their announcement and celebration via zoom on January 15 from 12pm - 12:45pm (West African Time).
