Let us consider the best format below.

As for the font size, it should be between 10 and 12 points.

If the name is not known, it's best to just use Mr. or Mrs. depending on the person's gender.

6. Body of the letter: A good body letter shouldn't be more than two to three paragraphs. This section of an application letter can be subdivided into three.

The first paragraph of an application letter should introduce you, the job you're applying for and where you saw the job listing.

The second paragraph is the most important aspect of the letter. Here, you get to include all the information gathered about the employer and the job in relation to you skills, qualifications and experiences.

Ensure you provide the necessary details about your skills, qualifications and experiences.

The third paragraph is where show gratitude to the employer for considering to read your application letter and resume. You can also offer a follow up information here.

7. Concluding part of the letter: This is where you end the application letter. A job application letter is best written following the format below:

If you're submitting a hard copy, the closing of your application letter should be in the following format: Sincerely— Signature— Name.

However, if you're submitting via email, include your contact information under your name instead of including it in the header.
