Booker Prize winner, Bernardine Evaristo has released a collection of her BBC Radio dramas between 2003 and 2020.
The works include The Emperor’s Babe, Hello Mum, London Choral Celestial Jazz, Madam Butterfly and the Stockwell Diva, Medea – Mapping the Edge, and On Top of the World. The collection explores themes of identity, race, and creativity. Also featured is a 2020 radio documentary on her life titled, Profile: Bernardine Evaristo.
Evaristo noted the importance of making these plays accessible again, as radio works often fade despite large audiences. The collection is now available on Audible and other platforms, produced by Jonquil Panting.
