The Nigerian Air Force Chief of the Air Staff Literary Competitions for NAF Day 2026 is currently open to essay writers, poets and visual artists. Each applicant is expected to submit their works based on the NAF Day official theme "Optimizing Emerging Technologies for Enhanced Air Operations".

Application is open to all Nigerian Children/Youths in the following categories:

• Primary Schools: Ages 5 - 11 years
• Secondary Schools: Ages 12 - 17 years
• Tertiary Institutions: Ages 18 - 24 years

Chief of the Air Staff Essay Competition Guidelines

1. Essay must be uploaded on this portal not later than 28 February 2026.
2. When filling the form, provide a valid phone number and email address the applicant can be reached on.
3. Passport photograph to be uploaded must be 150kb or less in size, and in jpg, jpeg, or png format.
4. Literary file to be uploaded must be 1MB or less in size, and in pdf format.

• 1st position: ₦2,000,000
• 2nd position: ₦1,500,000
• 3rd position: ₦1,000,000
