Ogedengbe Tolulope Impact is an award-winning Nigerian poet, teacher, and literary figure known for his distinctive voice in contemporary poetry. He began writing poetry in 2012 and has since become one of Nigeria’s most recognizable and intellectual young writers. His work is influenced by Aremu Adams Adebisi, a poet whose depth, lyrical style, and soundness of expression has left a lasting impression on him.
Tolulope studied Chemical Engineering at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile‑Ife, Osun State, where he combined his technical education with his passion for writing. He began publishing poems online on a blogspot site: Divine Poetry and has been featured in several anthologies. His work has appeared in collections such as SPIC Love Poems, Peace Is Possible, Muse for World Peace, and Wind of Change.
In 2016, he won the inaugural SprinNG Literary Movement Poetry Contest. His poems have also been shortlisted in international poetry events, including the 7th Korea‑Nigeria Poetry Fiesta (2017). Tolulope has excelled in the Brigitte Poirson Poetry Contest (BPPC), winning the July 2018 edition. In 2019, he was awarded the Wakaso Monthly Poetry Prize, further recognizing his talent and contribution to Nigerian literature. Over the years, his work has also been published on platforms such as Pulse Nigeria, Words Rhymes & Rhythm Poetry, Glass Poetry, Porridge Magazine, Duane Poetree, Pangolin Review, and many others.
Although there hasn’t been recent news on his writing, but just like his name, his impact in promoting Nigerian poetry can never be erased, and we look forward to the future contributions and impacts he is set to make.
Outside of poetry, Tolulope Impact is married to Adebola Impact and currently serves as a pastor at Light Nation Akure, where he serves as a vessel, using the word of God to heal, inspire, and impart wisdom to his congregation.
