Awele Creative Trust Announces The Shortlists For Its 2021 Short Story Prize

Few months ago, the Awele Creative Trust announces its short story prize for 2021, inviting various interested writers to submit their best work in order to a compete for the cash prize of N50,000 Naira.

Shortly, few days, they announced on their official Twitter account, the release of the names of writers who made the shortlist for the short story prize.

According to them, they received over 200 submissions. The submitted works were described as impressive in the aspect of style and themes by the judges.

"Whether writing about grief or loss of friendship, the loss of marginalisation of women or SARS, they offer an insight into contemporary Nigeria.
